Dakotah Aiyanna
“Art is a language where no words are needed to make you feel or understand what is trying to be said.”. Dakotah’s artwork displayed the month of August.
Self portraits can manifest in any way you see fit
and that’s the beauty of art.
This series tells a story of emotions not cohesive
or in a specific order because in
real life your emotions flow at random.
I’ve been in a space where my dreams are telling
me to feel every aspect of these pieces
while having spiritual meaning within itself.
Every part tells a story…
The short story is Black women are beautiful
and filled with grace…
the deeper story is for you to decide
