Janet Dyer

Artist Bio:
From an early age, Janet wanted to be an artist. Her mother, who was an art teacher, painter, and sculptor was her inspiration. Janet received a BS degree from Southern Connecticut University and a MFA from University of South Carolina. After a successful teaching career in art education in private and public schools, she began exhibiting her original oil paintings in numerous galleries and community exhibitions in North and South Carolina. Janet’s impressionist oil paintings focus on landscapes, botanicals, and abstract reliefs using gold leaf. Janet is an active member of the Charlotte Art League, the Guild of Charlotte Artists, Mint Hill Arts, and Mooresville Arts. Janet is presently living in Charlotte, North Carolina.

My art is a reflection of the world around me, capturing moments of beauty, emotion, and complexity. Through my work, I aim to evoke thought, spark conversation, and inspire others to see the world in a new light. Drawing inspiration from nature, culture, and personal experiences, I strive to create pieces that resonate with viewers on a deep and meaningful level. Each brushstroke, color choice, and composition is carefully considered to convey the essence of my vision. Ultimately, my art is a visual expression of my innermost thoughts and feelings, inviting viewers to join me on a journey of exploration and discovery.
